LAST DAY REFLECTION!

What did I learn about photography that I did not know before?
I learned some things, but some of the bigger things I already knew about. Stuff like the rule of thirds I learned about in Digital Arts last year, but it was nice to review it. One of the biggest most important things was lighting though. It is crazy how a little more light can totally change the photograph. In fact I wished I put more light into some of my photos since they could of been better looking resolution wise.

What did I learn about myself this semester?
Well one thingI learned about myself is my absolute hatred toward self portraits of me. Its kinda like I just would rather be behind the camera than in front of it. Moving towards the negatives and more toward the positives, I learned that anything can be a picture. It does not matter what it is on, or what it is, as long as it is something taken be something that all that matters.

What did I wish that we done that we did not do?
While this more focused on me and not the class, I really wished I got to try out taking pictures on my 3ds. In case you don't what a 3ds is, it is a portable gaming system made by nintendo that is the succesor of the ds. The cool part about this system is its 3d without glasses technogly, and since it can do this it can take 3d pictures. Though the resolution of the camera is not really good since it is more of a cheaper gaming system its 3d pictures can be really intersesting if you postion things just right.

What was my struggle?
What I really struggled with was my camera. It lacked some settings which made stuff like the blur project harder since I relied on the firework setting. (Which is definitely not the recommended setting that I would choose.) Also, there was some time restraints where on projects like the panaranma where I did do all the pictures, but I only managed to finish one of three.

What did I conquer?
What I feel I did good at was the light and quote (alphabet) projects. These to me were the most fun since it was all about creativity for these pictures. In the end these were also the most fun to mess around with in photoshop since they were not super hard to put together like the panorama, but still had a accomplshing feeling after you were finished.

BLUR!

 Look at Mario

On the last one, I liked it better in color. The swoosh of the toy car seems to stand out more.

LIGHTS!

When I was making these pictures I tried to focus more on things I just found around the house nearby than to just focus on one thing, and I also tried to put in some stuff I like at the same time. One thing I discovered though is that you can make anything look more scary by putting the light a certain way. The 2nd picture is actually a old monkey stuffed animal that I had, and I made it look like some scary movie poster looking thing. The one thing I struggled with was trying to take a picture of myself while all my family was gone. My tripod was broken so I had to put the camera in places like on top of a bed, desk, and many other weird places to set up. (At least my camera has a timer.) One big reason why these pictures were able to happen was because I stole a desk lamp from my brother that he was not using. I like how these pictures turned out, and if I had to change anything I would get a working tripod to minimize camera shake and to be able to do more postions.

EXTRA

I think the Super Mario Bros. one is better in color.

Oh yeah. Here is a bonus creepy one. (Look closely).
